Bhagat Mahasabha celebrated Nirvan Divas of Sadguru Kabir

Bhagat Mahasabha celebrated Nirvan Divas (20-02-2011) of Sadguru Kabir ji Maharaj at Tatriya,Block Marh in which thousands of the Megh participated to pay homage to greate saint of bhakti movement. Chaudhari Sukhnandan MLA, Marh was the chief guest on the occasion and he announced an assistance Rs.5 lakhs for construction of a community hall at village Tatriyal. He thanked Bhagat community for their support and promised to provide every possible help to the community.

A Satsang Kirtan was held by Swami Milkhi Ram Bhagat of Gorda on the occasion.

While singing the shabad, dohe and sakhian of Kabir Sahibji, Swamiji asked the gathering to follow the teachings of Sadguru Kabir Sahibji as only his teachings could bring Megh community out of backwardness and darkness. He asked Megh community to keep themselves away from alcohol, tobacco, dowry etc.

Prof. Raj Kumar Bhagat, National President of Bhagat Mahasabha appealed to all Megh Samaj to get united for development of community and cautioned the community against the people who betrayed Megh Samaj in the past. He also announced more office bearers to further strengthen Bhagat Mahasabha in J&K.

Bodh Raj Bhagat, State President appealed to the government to declare Prakash Utsav of Sadguru Kabir Sahibji (15 June) a gazetted holiday.

On this occasion, prominent members of Megh Samaj were honored and all present pledged to spread the teachings of Sadguru Kabirji Maharaj in every nook and corner of the state.

Prominent among others were Milkhi Ram Bhagat, Chairman of Coordination Committee, Mohinder Bhagat, Tarachand Bhagat, Sansar Chand Bhagat Charan Dass, Shamsher Bhagat, Balvinder Bhagat, Surinder Bhagat, Tarsem Bhagat, Chaman Lal Bhagat and Haqikat Raj.
